Well since you asked and I am an armchair lawy... JUDGE...... if you even temporarily modify your mags even for a second to clean them... the police will immediately break down your door, shoot your dog, and take you to jail.

On a serious note, you cannot easily or neatly "un-crimp" your mags. Any way you do it it will not have a clean look to it.
I have been told (over the phone with the CFO's office) that you can only unpin magazines legally to change followers, re-pin an improperly pinned mag, or clean them should you choose to.
