Pls REmove

Hi John,

SL7's are thin-on-the-ground, so take this for what it's worth, but the only ones I've ever seen in Canada have been non-restricted. In the US, both the SL6 and SL7 have 17.7" barrels. The Canadian versions have 19" barrels. That slight difference in length makes the models hard to tell apart, so double-check with a cleaning rod and ruler. I've also noticed that the Canadian versions did not have vented handguards.

Did you manage to snag one of the HK05 scope mounts with the rifle?

Here's a few pictures of one of my SL7s --- the weather was nice enough today to get outside and take them:

Wow. Those are in nice shap SH! Do you mind me asking...what are they worth? Those were high end rifles in their day, weren't they? And do they have any collector value today?

Hithanks. I did get one of the mentioned scope mounts, and a leather HK sling.

I first saw this rifle months ago, and had my blue book in hand at that time, I also measured the barrel with cleaning rod and remember being confused because my measurment didn't reflect what the blue book said. Mine is 19".

Its in exc condition, I test fired it that day and was amaised at the trigger and accuracy.

I had also never seen brass after being through a fluted chamber.

I also got two magazines, a 3rd and 10rd which is pinned to 5rds.

-John
