Only the early ones after a certain serial number they are fine. I put a new set of the hardened ones in my 28ga and it works fine.
Contact Mossberg @ 1-800-363-3555, give them the serial number and if it qualifies they will send you a set for free
To the OP a WTB listing would be your best bet. Not many kicking around new. It is an ok gun but if I had just one 28ga O/U I would save the extra for a CZ

Any Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U will have an issue with the firing pin breaking if it is
12ga when the serial number is TR12046393 or below, 20ga with the serial number TR20015092 or below, or 28ga TR28005777 or below, or .410 bore with the serial number TR410006194 or below
