Plugged one today

After a few trips out, had 2 good toms come in first thing this morning. Both were about the same size so I did an enie-menie..... BANG.

I laugh everytime I shoot one with a 3" Supreme #6, they drop like a sack of shjt....

20lbs even, 9" beard, but rather short 3/4 " spurs

Nice bird! Great picture. I use Winchester supreme #6 also. 3" shells sure kick hard though. Hopefully I will get a second bird soon. The black flies are starting to come out in my area.

Seriously - i wouldn't know a good turkey from a bad one we've only just got 'em here. But i've been told a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.. so i'm giving it two thumbs up anyway! WHOOO HOOO! well done!.

I don't find they kick too much at all, but I'm shooting an 11-87SP, so it soaks up alot of the recoil. You should try 3.5"

Haven't decided, I like to sleep in on my days off I know we can hunt til 7pm, but I prefer mornings, and have other things to do later in the day.
