Yep it was the barrel and the cylinder. I believe it was done at or through a gun shop in Edmonton. Perhaps if the barrel was fixed, I could get a replacement cylinder? I will take it to a Gun Smith one day, but there is not one in my town. It will probably have to wait until the next time I am in Calgary. Does anybody know of a good Gun Smith in Calgary or Lethbridge area?
I didn't even realize that it might have been a prohibited gun. It is a Colt "Police Positive" .38. My Grandfather passed away back in 1994. I don't think it would have been registered (not in his nature) but it may have been. Now you got the gears turning in my head. I will have to make some more enquiries. If I get it unplugged and functional again, is there anyway I could use it to get a prohibited license?
