I have a Marlin 36 that has had some repairs made to the lever before I got it. It has been built up with brass in the area that operates the carrier. The motion of the carrier isn't quite right.
I am looking for a photo of a good one, ideally with some measurement reference. So I can see the proper angles, etc.
Not sure if a 1893 or a 336 is the same.
Alternatively I could also buy a different lever.
I have experimented, but have not been able to get full lift on carrier smoothly.

Usually if you don't get full lift on the carriage, it because the little lever is broke off, on the side of the carriage...look at the pic of the carriage assembly, that mbogo3 posted, and see if yours looks the same. The little hook will brake off...the part that "looks" like an extractor...but isn't...lol
