Thinking about getting some PMAG Gen M3 mags for my new Colt IUR. I only have 3 LAR-15 mags at the moment. What would you suggest, 5/20 or 5/30? I am leaning towards 5/20's with ranger plates. Also looking at the IMI defense G2 mags from CanAm. Thoughts on those?

I bought one of the IMI defense mags from the local gun store and they work great and look great, they are also very light! I have never tried a p-mag but I am in love with the IMI Defense ones.

Personally I prefer 5/30, they are easier to take out of the mag pouchs and you can use them as a mono-pod.

^this^ if you are training in CQB and or in other action classes the 30's are much easier to extract and insert into a rifle or carry pouch. I also like the look and feel of quality of the IMI 5/30 mags. These mags do not have a rivet that can lodge the mag in the mag well but a glued in plastic rod that is hard to see.

5/40? haha ... yeah

I have one. I'm a fan of pmags and saw the 5/40 for cheap.
The thing is huge!
A bit awkward.

Every time I load that fifth round in, I feel it's filled too fast - I'm like "I just started loading this monster!"

I have a ton of 5/30s and 5/20s - collect them all
