I've been seeing prices of about $50 per PMAG or more on the EE recently.
Are these a joke, or for real?
Just wondering if the shooting in the US has somehow exponentially increased the demand for these.

I've always noticed some morons listing their used guns for prices around brand new, but this is more than retail price.

Supply & Demand....

You don't like it....Donate more to the gun orgs and get Politically active, if you are already doing that than good on you....

Right now just try and get a pmag anywhere. Any other quality mag for that matter. I ordered some LAR 10's from Questar a couple of weeks ago and it showed they had over 200 in stock, now they are sold out

Those prices are a joke and for real! Both! Ha, ha... yes PMAGS have flown off the shelves in the US due to the possibility of "pre-ban magazine grandfathering" similar to the AWB of 1994 in the USA. That huge demand simply shortens supply for Canada. Low supply, means hike the price.

Some people feel that's the right time to cash in on their "investments" and sell for 200-300% to double and triple their money. Hey, so long as their is demand, I say all the power to 'em! But I won't be buying any at those prices...

Just for fun me and a buddy did some drills at the range comparing 5/30 pmags with coupled 10 rd LAR pistol mags. In the end they were basically the same speed for reload/ergonmics and both perfectly reliable. So its really just looks and weight savings you're paying for. We tested with 1 AR15 and 1 XCR-L. Speed reloads, fast mag dumps, etc... So yah, I'm not drinking the coolaid. Just use what you've got available to you and have fun!

That is EE for you. People selling their stuff overpriced.

Just wait until a dealer has some stock and buy some at decent price or wait a couple months until this madness in the state is over.

I sold a bunch of mine recently for a "fair price" since I got a hold of some new Gen IIIs and more LAR mags. I can't believe some people are willing to pay $50 each and shipping on top. Now I just need some LAR couplers... *coughtrades?* :)

Good luck with that. Places like Wanstalls, Questar and Milarm all sold out in hours. Doubt these guys will be getting new stock soon when places like Brownells who sold through 3.5 years of pmags in 7 days following the shooting will be pushing Magpul hard for new stock. Vendors like P&D and Budget Shooter Supply are already reporting some of their largest vendors are not even taking orders. Who knows, the current rate of $50 + shipping may seem like a deal in a couple months, I'm just glad I have mine because it wasn't long ago when $60 205Ms and $40 Varget was an excellent deal if you could find it.

With magazines I would never wait to buy them because they go out of stock for a long while sometimes just like firearms they come in waves buy now unless your willing to wait because it can be a long wait sometimes. Suppliers run out companys can't make them fast enough ect.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

im not impressed with Questar right now..
i ordered LAR mags and a 3 pack of ranger plates that showed in stock on the 27th...i got a email yesterday stating they have taken my deposit for a advance order with a 6-12 week wait... and i got in the 15% off sale which they now didnt give me 15% off a "pre-order"

im calling them tomorrow...

Yes, you even pointed out yourself that some dealers have them in stock, but sold out in hours. The point is that there are still dealers out there that will have them in stock in the near future. When the panic settle down..and it will, the pmags will make their way up here (unless that 10 round magazine law get passed).

I have seen some local dealers that have some pmags in stock...yes including some site sponsors.

I found the last two at Reliable in FDE two days ago for 22 ish. I lucked out on those two with these crazy prices on the EE.
I was fortunate to pick another 6 off the EE for a pretty decent price as well.
Its crazy people are selling them used for $50 plus shipping.

It's supply/demand and all the power to them...sure they got them at $20/each...but they're non existent right now...you gotta pay to play. Otherwise you get to wait. Some guys are acting like it's a personal attack to try and make a little money off of something that is rare at the moment. The amount of belly aching about EE prices is incredible...

I say if you need pmags then pay up, if you don't then quite whining. I don't have or need pmags, nor do I have any for sale but if I did I wouldn't sell them for anything less than what market will bear.

It's not supply/demand

It's the Community taking advantage of others in the same community.

Stop pretending that this RIP OFF of friend GunNutz is a norm.

Thats because it's normal they always do it and always will if someone is willing to pay the rip off price then they do it if not then the person sits on it.. how many people bought 60 dollar lee efeild rifles and now want 450

So how big does a community have to be before it is ok to make money off of someone else?

If a guy sells a gun for less than he bought it for, no one screams the buyer ripped him off. If you don't like the going rate, don't buy them and stick to LAR mags. Eventually the price may fall again, or maybe it will go up and $40 bucks a mag will seem like a deal.

Roll of the dice.
