Hey, i did a search but couldnt find any information about my specific problem. just wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

the rivet that limits the mag to 5 rds obstructs the feeding of the mag to the gun. the rivet is catching on the interior of the magwell near the triger gaurd. i wanna be able to use my pmag but i dont wanna mess with the rivets and make the mag illegal or something.

ps the gun is a norc cq-a

thanks in advanced!

it wont be questionable if the rivet is all grinded and messed? i know grinding is the only solution but i was just wondering if it was ok to modify something like that. the mag itself is great, o live the quality of it.

Grind away...even if you accidentally ground off too much and removed the rivet you could always put another countersunk one in. Just don't go out using the Pmag with the rivet removed...then you're illegal.

Mine have the same problem. I don't want to grind the rivet head down. The aluminium rivet is soft enough so I've just used steel hammer slightly tapped the rivet head until it flatten enough to drop free.

I found that the rivet is very soft so you have to be careful that you don't take it down too much. Just to be safe I used a file rather than the Dremel on my pmags, and now they drop nicely.

Mine feed Ok but dont drop free. Are Pmag suppose to drop free when you press mag release. I know my metal mags does but not my plastic Pmag

My first Pmag had that problem, filed it down with a fine file problem went away. Or you can remove the rivet, file down the spine flush with the body of the mag and reinstall a rivet and voila!
