This is a steel tipped ammo using the SS109, apparently the steel tip makes up about 1/3 of the core with the remainder being lead.

So, please answer ... Would this ammo be generally allowed for indoor range use and not present any hazard.

Sir,
We can't answer that question as each club have different CFO ratings. As a member of your club, it is your responsibility to ask what is allowed and what is not for usage in your said range. As per our range this type of ammo is currently not allowed but we have signed the contracts for the renovations and it will be happening soon.
Price for the ammo is stated in the picture as $529.95 per thousand rounds

This ammo will NEVER be allowed in our facility as the steel core tip makes it a light armour perpetrator. No problem for the backstop which is being installed, but there are serious issues with people not HITTING the backstops (i.e. baffles).
