I was out last weekend in area 89B in Ontario on my property looking for some coyote that periodically take our sheep and found something I have never seen before. It was at the edge of the property line.
I came accross a site where there were 2 dead does, a buck, and a fawn. All were beside each other on the ground but had been there a couple of weeks as they were ravaged by animals and only bone and hide were left.
Upon examination it appeared that some of the damage must have been made by humans using knives and saws as no coyote could make such precise cuts.
I have never ever seen a CO in the area and have never had any problems. However, I have never seen such a waste, I think I will have to call the ministry and take a CO to the site this weekend.
I am just pissed as I decided not to hunt the controlled season this year and only hunted with bow. They were not there before the controlled season.
I always thought poachers take the meat? I was also thinking they may have been placed there by someone who let the meat spoil?
What would you do?
