Poaching Part 2

OK, as per Supercubs worthy suggestion lets have a poll.

Poaching, lets describe it as "Intentionally Killing Game Out Of Season". So hitting a deer with your car doesn't count.


To expand this a bit further, I am going to put in a few options...

Hey why don't you just ignore the poll if you don't like the content.
The suggestion for the poll was made by someone with a functioning cerebral cortex, and seemed interesting.
If you want to bury your head in the sand over poaching go to it :!:

The issue is legit, and if you worry that this is going to "arm the antis" I think you need a better perspective.

Explain to me the benefits of this thread? How is it addressing the issue? How am I sticking my head in the sand? I take my right to hunt very serious. Can you come up with a better topic when you are to bored or too lazy to get off your PC.

You are doing the research for the Anti's. I was hpoing that no one would try and justify poaching on here but its happening as we speak.

Its wrong, I admire the honesty people are displaying, but why the @%#! brag about it. How are we to repect someone who thinks theres nothing to be ashamed of. What kind of message is it sending?

I also think when a mistake is made, its just that.

I fully agree with boonerbuck, poaching is a serious issue as far as i'm concerned and is what bothers me the most about our sport, next to the anti's agenda to destroy it all.

I voted no.

But thinking about it, does this count as poaching? I stopped on the highway; some lady hit a deer with her car (out of season), broke it's hind legs. OPP come and investigated the scene. Constable knows I'm a hunter and was comming back from a bear hunt. He asks me if I want the meat? Of course I say yes. He then tells me that I can kill it then (saves him the embaressment of missing and cleaning his gun--He's a personal friend). I slit the throat.

Illegal harvesting? Yes, it was still alive and out of season
Legally obtained? Sure, the OPP said I could
