Almost got had by the old pocket lint in the casing trick today haha.

I was loading some 308 this afternoon in preparation for hunting season. As I was going along the powder wasn't draining from the funnel into the casing. There was only a little bit still left so I tapped the side of the neck thinking I must of missed cleaning the inside of the neck on this particular case and it was just clogged. It didn't clear right away and took a significant amount of tapping to get all the powder in the case and once I was done the powder was almost flush with the top of the neck. From what I could see of the neck there wasn't any powder sticking to the sides and I didn't see any sizing wax residue. So now I wonder if my powder dispenser threw a weird charge. I set this casing aside and inspect the powder dispenser, it's a lyman gen 6 powder dispenser so not the best on the market but hasn't given me any issues to date. It's on auto throw so the next charge has been thrown. Charge weight reads what it should. So I double check it on my other scale reads the same weight. I dump it in a new casing, look inside and it's filled to the base of the casing neck just like it should be. So I dump out the overfilled casing inspect inside and find a ball of pocket lint in there. I fish it out and carry on. My best guess as to how it got in there is that it was a fired casing from one of my hunts last year that ended up in a pocket. I recall shooting a deer and pocketing the casing then not being able to find it once I got back to the truck, then finding it in a weird pocket a few days later.
So my question to all this is. What do you guys think would of happened if i didn't catch this? Just a misfire? As the lint was in between the primer and powder. Or a full on squib?
