It's claimed that you need to pull the charging handle per shot. I assume that the lower receiver = rated "R" status for us. Meanwhile this allows some people in the States to hunt or do more things with this platform.

I understand there's going to be quite the hate for "they just made it without the gas block and gas tube so it doesn't cycle". But legalitywise, it's probably a hot item for certain states. Pretty sure it doesn't affect us one bit.

Here's a question for those in the know, would it still be restricted if the front pin was fixed? After all a rivet makes a 30 round mag a 5.

I don't think this is such a goofy idea...I love the ergonomics of the platform. It would be a great rifle if you could get by what it is instead of what it could be....

I would consider buying one if it was none restricted. But no way would I buy one if it is restricted. Everyone needs to sign the NFA petition to change the status of the AR-15/AR-10 to non restricted. Then we wouldn't have to buy a bolt action AR style gun. Well that's if the government listens to the people. But we all know what the chances of that happening are!!

Straight pull as they are known are very popular in the UK.

Many have been modified to have a side handle affixed to the BCG for faster reloads. LMT makes them as did Sabre Defence Ltd before he was nicked by BATF and extradiated to the states.
