I recently moved from Cold Lake, Alberta to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
( posting) I did notice at 500 meters my M1 Garand was 5-6 MOA in elevation lower that what it had previously shot in Alberta & Saskatchewan.
I perceived no windage issues, other than what I had to aim off for, in actual windy conditions at the match.

Of course, the sights could have been knocked about in the long move.
But my Polytech M-14S had about the same POI lower as well.....

Yep that's right.
Air is less dense at higher altitudes, so you get a higher POI. My rifle shoots about an inch lower here at sea level than it does in Chilliwack with the same conditions.

Hey, I think I was at that match you shot. You guys shot a darn respectable match with that Garand and M14.

Can't wait to get out again. We are trying to get a few guys together for a shoot in the snow in the next couple weeks, you should come out.
