POL to PAL Wait Time

I decided to upgrade my POL to a PAL and NPAL. I completed both safety courses and sent in the application. I own restricted weapons already under the old POL which is current.
Do I have the same wait time as if I was applying an a new PAL for the first time?

I would assume that you do. Your current application has to go through the same channels as a new application due to the fact that you are changing your license status from POL to PAL. If you had to do the courses in order to get your PAL, processing time should be the same as someone who is getting a license for the first time. Mine took about 6 weeks.
