The things I know are that it is polish Mosin Nagant carbine that I believe to be a M44. It was in unfired mint condition when my friend took it to the range and let me fire 10 rds through it(he fired the other 10). It was then cleaned and put away.
Any idea of it's value?

If it's polish it will have an 11 in a circle on the receiver, be in a light colored beech stock, and have a side folding bayo.
They sell for $150 to $200 for unfired ones.

you should not have any problems getting $100 for it here, if it has a matching bolt then $150. A lot of them have mismatched bolts, about 2 years agon now SIR was selling them for $44 mismatched bolt factory refurbished, but those are long gone now.

Mosin-Nagant Web Site - Polish Model M44 Carbines (Complete Article)

The Polish clone of the Soviet Model 1944 Carbine has become one of the more popular Mosin Nagants in the United States. In many cases these carbines are in "unisued" new mint condition. Overall they are very accurate shooters and again the condition is a real selling point, as one would be hard pressed to find a carbine that is better in overall quality. While most of their history is still unclear, they are a nice addition to the Mosin collection. They also fit very well into the "Cold War" collections that seem to be gaining in popularity. The Polish Mosin Nagant Model 1944 Carbine is a nice example of a post WW2 carbine that holds a special place in the hearts of many of its owners. These Polish carbine may well be the finest Mosin Nagant ever produced.

I've seen ads on here from $175 - $250 ..........

well if the prices are going up that fast I'm glad that I bought 2 for $44. I know the brother-in-law got one too for $44 and wants to sell it, I'll have to help him out. $44 + S&H I should get it for $70.

In another year of so I might have to sell one if the prices keep going up
