Has anyone purchased one of these surplus swiss 9mm police pistols from Tradeex? Are you happy with it and are they in good working order? Looking to buy this and possibly a .22 conversion kit from Wolverine, if they have them in stock.
Thanks
Just had a thought, how hard would it be to buy extra magazines to go with a conversion kit for any pistol, be it Glock, Sig Sauer?

I had a look at a few of them.

They are older German made (perhaps W. German vintage), but have a thumb mag release. This era of Sig P226 were well made German manuf. guns.

However, I looked at several of the guns and the ones I looked at had a fair bit of holster wear and handling bangs/marks. Which is typical for an issued gun.

The trouble with these guns is that you never know how many rounds have been put through it of if some police armory has messed with them.

Considering they are asking $795.00 plus taxes and shipping, I don't think these are a very good deal. You can pick up a CFO Sig, which has been refurbished by Sig for the same money. But I would suggest that you look on the EE and for any vendor deals.

If you want a German made Sig, Murdoc at Arma-Coat (vendor in the Maufacture.... section) has some BNIB unfired two tone German made Sigs for sale. For $200.00 more and you get a brand new German made gun. I was very tempted to buy one, but resisted!

I've seen vendors sell brand new US P226 guns for not much more than $800.00 from time to time when they run deals.

I've also seen very nice, lightly used US made P226's, and the odd privately owned German made gun on the EE for around $800.00 on a fairly regular basis. You'll get a much better gun, save taxes, and sometimes the seller will include shipping.

Here's one that's on the EE - http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=781042

That's my 2 cents!
