Been wondering for a while now if my Polish M44 carbines have chrome lined barrels. Decided to do the blueing test. I cleaned and degreased the muzzle and just inside the bore. Applied blueing (cold blue) and let sit for 10 mins. Checked back and metal was not blued. Degreased and tried again. Nothing. Conclusion: Both my 1953 Polish M44 Carbines have chrome lined barrels (chamber is not chrome lined).
