Today I shot my new Polish TT33 (from Kelly’s) at a IDPA practice. It did well, except the black front sight was slower to acquire than a fibre optic. The ammo I used was the Marstar surplus, with lead core bullets. I pulled the bullets and reduced the powder charge from 10 gr to 8 gr. This was enough to still cycle the action. Velocity dropped from 1550 to 1200 fps. Recoil is very mild with little jump.
I drifted the rear sight to the right. Looks like I over-did it.
After the practice I shot it at 20 yards and also shot my MP40, for comparison.
Conclusion: For a military pistol, it shoots very well. Accuracy is one of my best milsurps. Sights and trigger are quite good. You had better get one....
