Trying to identify which one is Polish ? Did they make pigskin holsters this appears to be one with the brass cleaning rod? I think the other is Russian...........Harold

They weren't foolish enough to arm them and have them watching their backs like some countries that shall remain nameless.[Fort Bragg]..........Harold

Just to disappoint you guys. Polish military still has a Chief Military Imam position. Polish Tatars were very important part of Poland's military for past 700 years. Due to tradition some regiments still keep Tatar insignia. Pre WW2 Poland there was still around 400000 strong Tatar minority in Poland however with industrialization, better job opportunities they moved away from their traditional North East region to different parts of Poland. They basically melted away in mainstream Polish society. Now days only 3000 people of Tatar origin identify themselves as Muslim. There is a bigger Muslim minority in Poland it numbers more then 40000 but they are mainly recent immigrants from middle east. That 3000 Tatars and then new Muslim arrivals are not friends. Polish Tatars are Polish and in the 90s they actually showed middle finger to "Wahabi Saudi Dirty Oil Money" they said no to Islamic indoctrination. However Polish Muslim association that used to be Polish Tatars now is 100% New arrival muslims that are foreign backed with Saudi money and are hostile to European culture.

I would beware being a Muslim immigrant, let alone a militant Muslim immigrant in Poland. They're a fantastic people...when they like you.

It is Polish or East German I mean the right one. It is not Russian, metal belt loops are Polish or east German style

In Poland cow leather had to be imported from Argentina in these years, it was expensive boots only. Pig letter was produced post WW2 based on German technology to make it stronger in large quantities. Cattle production is generally really low in Central Europe minus Hungary due to space limitation and better arable soil being used for higher profit crops and animals. However Polish Police only used cow leather holsters never seen pig leather on police holster

I don't think so. I believe pigskin would make for lousy leather for a holster due to it being softer and thinner than Cow or horse hide. I'd like to hear why someone believes its pigskin. Is it because its dimpled leather?

Large pores in the hide, peculiar to pig skin.

I think brown pistol holsters were used in Poland only up to maybe mid 60s and only in military.Police and military Police always had black pistol holsters.
Last picture I have seen with with brown holster was of a Border Guard on patrol in 1970s magazine but picture could have been older.
