Hi. If the trigger job was done properly, it shouldn't need re-doing. Were the springs changed too? If not, you could do that.
However, doing a Smith trigger isn't difficult.(There's lots of books and videos for sale on-line, but I've never seen a how-to) It's out with the parts, polish and put back in. Smith revolver innards are all the same. The 'rebound slide' needs a special tool to remove though.
There's a picture of the rebound slide tool here. Brownell's wants $19.97US for it. Not difficult to make though. Bend some 3/16" bar stock(you might have to reduce the diameter a tick. The one I made, long ago, was done on a lathe) after cutting a wee slot.
