Polishing or refinishing for a Webley No 2?

Hi everyone, I got my first antique, a colt 1892, and quickly got the bug for picking up these old pieces. I grabbed a webley RIC No 2 in 450 cf last week, it was a good price and in working condition but the outside of it is a bit rusted and faded.

I was wondering if anyone knew of services in Canada that could restore the exterior of this antique? I wouldn’t do this to one that’s of a high value for the resale, but since this one was sub $2k, I was thinking it could be a nice show off piece / heirloom if it could be polished up to its former glory.

A quick google search gave me some methods including bluing and nickel plating, but I couldn’t find any companies offering this. Does anyone know of a service that could do a restoration? Thanks!

If I understand correctly it's originally blued? Now some patina on it? Look up rust conversion. Anything else and you are devaluing it.

Post pictures please. Not much point in discussing what you could achieve without seeing the current state.

Have a look at the work done by Turnbull Restorations.
Impressive appearance when finished. Very expensive. Worth it?
Typical polish and reblue? A few hundred bucks and a gun that looks reblued. Not restored, just reblued.
Either case negates the antique value.

You can try Dlask in Delta, BC. They do an amazing job of sand-blasting and refinishing (I think it's "parkerizing") but it ain't cheap. I guess it depends what you want of your Webley. I would never refinish an antique, but that's personal taste...

Ceracoat would also be an option. Great choice of colours.
