Just curious, which do you prefer on your shotguns and why?

Conventional/Standard -style stocks (e.g. factory)

or

Pistol Gripped Stocks (e.g. Knoxx Ind, Mesa Tac)

I'll probably be in the minority but I prefer the regular style with a short LOP.....even prefer wood over synthetic. I've tried the pg/stock combo four times over the years and always ended up going back to a regular style stock. More comfortable and versatile for me.

PG always seems to feel more comfortable for me. My grip never really feels right with a conventional stock, I don't really know why.... I seem to point better with a PG too.

Any kind of tactical/range shotgun i definitely like the pistol grip. If you are hunting with a shotgun....conventional for sure. The pistol grip just wont work out.

While they look cool, I've never found a pistol grip shotgun stock that worked for me. The issue was recoil management. I just found the classic stock was a lot less brutal to the firing hand.

The Knoxx Spec-ops stock could change that.

I have a spec ops, just pushes into your hand a little. The only drawback with PG IMO is I seem to fire slightly slower.

X2 It just feels odd looking through a scope while holding a PG. Also you can get lower without it.
I guess whatever works for ya.
If you can shoot accurately from the hip i'd get a Pistol grip;)

My PC gun (Predator Control) has a standard length Hogue stock. Probably because I shoot shotgun a lot with regular stocked guns, the full stock pistol grip doesn't come to the shoulder as naturally. I like having some degree of consistency among my various shotguns so that my target and hunting guns feel similar to my PC gun. YMMV.
