Poly 305 sticky mag issue

Hi, just getting to know my new gun, I like it but the mag is tough to put in and take out. Is there a cure for this apart from taking steroids?

Is this with the supplied 5 round mag?
I found my 5 rounder was a PITA to get out sometimes. I solved that by using 5/20 rounders.

Yes, I too am assuming its the 5/5 round mag. Yes the 5/20 is much easier.

What I did with my 5/5 mag was polish the areas on the mag where it contacts the mag well. You can see the areas it contacts, cause the parkerizing wears away. I polished these areas with some 2000 grit paper. Made it better, but 20 rounds are still the way.

Try some different magazines. You will find that some magazines fit some M-14 pattern rifles better than others. There is an ad in the EE for 4 Chinese M-14 Steel 5/20 Magazines in Very Good to Excellent Condition now.

Ditto on the five rounders, i had to push it out from the top when i used the fivers. You should invest in some 5/20, I found they worked alot better after i had used them a couple times over

The 5 round short mags are finicky to operate with any m14
It's too bad they didn't make em a little longer

you can try stoning the mag catch to remove the burrs, but dont remove to much, i used a hard arkansas stone it takes a few strokes, the mag well of the rifle. what i did and now mine drops like a bad habbit
