I'll admit to not being much of a shot gunner, but I do have a few of them. None with a poly choke, so its never really been a question for me before. What I was wondering is if these older shot guns with the poly type chokes on them are compatible with the steel, or tungsten shot that is used now? Will the hard shot damage the choke? Or is it alright to adjust the choke so its not as restricted and still shoot the harder non-toxic loads?

They are fine for use with steel and any other shot you want to put through them. just stick to the modified choke diameter or larger for steel and you're OK.....
