Polychoke question?

I have an old Wingmaster with a polychoke installed on the barrel.My question is.......are these chokes typically threaded in like a conventional choke tube?

The original Poly-Choke involved threading the outside of the barrel so that the adjustable choke could be attached. With the majority of new shotguns being threaded inside the muzzle to accept tubes, the Poly-Choke II has been developed, that threads into the muzzle just as removable choke tubes do (you have to get the right version for the gun - to match thread count, pitch, etc.).
