Polymer mags in type 81

My apologies if this has already been talked about in the various type 81 threads out there.
Has anyone had much luck with the various polymer AK magazines (Tapco, Magpul PMag,etc) in their Type 81? I know they need some modification to lock and feed properly.
Are said magazines still functional for use in an AK/SKS-D after modification for the Type 81?

Yep. Awesome. There are a couple of great videos on youtube that cover magazine modification. Thanks for the extra info though. Your thread is full of good information and I did apologize in advance if I was asking anything already covered.
However, my question was more about how well the various polymer magazines worked in the type 81 and I was hoping someone with some experience with the various brands would chime in and offer some feedback.

I throw tapco ak74 mags in mine just cuz i like the look lol

Just wait and get T81 mags. You just end up ruining a Pmag !!! I also noticed the modified Pmags I made for the T81 no longer work in my SKS-D :-(

i got a circle 10 mag 5 rounder and it works good easy to mod and steel lined.

My modified pmag worked (sold my T81) perfectly except for no longer having bolt hold open like the factory mags.

I just bought a couple of PMAGs (5/30 and 5/20) so I'm excited to get them to fit and work. Bought a couple of Tapco 5/10 polymer rounders for bench shooting.
