Does anyone have any hands on experience with the polymer magazines Zefarm has for sale? I've read on some of the US boards that the polymers tend to be 50/50, and that you should buy twice as many as you need because they have a high failure rate.

Now they load their mags to the full 30 rounds. I'm wondering if our lightly loaded 5 round limit would less strain on these mags and therefore be more reliable.

It's fine to buy double the number you need when they're only $20 a pop in the US, but at $65 each up here in Canada that's simply not do able.

I've got 2 of them myself, and though I've heard a some bad reports about them in the US, I've yet to have one malfunction. If you are concerned, however, why not spend the extra $10 for the steel mags he also has listed? It's still a way better price than almost anywhere else in Canada.;)

We used to sell them until again like the poly Tapco mags for SKS we moved up to metal. Haven't looked back since and neither has our customers.

I have had many and they all worked well. They do seem to need a bit of a break in to round off a few edges, and then they work just fine. The only issue is that they are not $65 mags - they should be $15, but people are just too greedy.

I have a bunch of each... polymer ones seem okay. The price is ridiculous...

On a cold day, the polymer mag will seem less cold. Thats the only difference I found :)
