Does anyone know of a "Canadian" dealer that sells self-sealing polymer targets?
(website would be appreciated)

Sorry, no, but I have found they don't work great with open guns. Supers go right through them without knocking them over and if they are HPs you can end up with little itty bitty holes in them.

Not in an IPSC/IDPA-what-have-you type target, but I DID just last Monday see polymer self-sealing swinging targets for sale at BassPro in Vaughan. It seemed interesting.

I thought the issue was semi-wadcutters out of .45's...Although I guess the HP would have been just as bad.

I think the hole with the HP in super was more of a issue with repeated hits to the same area. I do know that alot went right through without making them fall in the higher velocity IMM guns with all those ports. Some where going out of the guns at 1400 fps. Well mine where anyway:D

Other than HP, wadcutters and SWC, they work not bad. If high velocity pistols are shooting them, get the rifle ones. They are thicker and react better to HV ammo.

One manufacturer (Newbold) reccommends against hollow points being used on their targets as it defeats the whole "self sealing" thing...
With HP's you'd get a cookie cutter effect which will remove or punch out material...

The Canadian Tire in Red Deer AB sells the swinging type, gophers and whatnot. Also, Wholesale Sports in Edmonton sells the same. I use a gopher for rifle target practice. When I shoot with my wife, she enjoys the reactive targets a lot more than hitting paper.

I haven't seen any that would work for IPSC type stuff. I wonder, it shouldn't be that hard to make them? Anyone ever seen a recipe for the self sealing polymer? If you could mix it and pour it into a pan you could make your own... I wonder...

It isn't that easy. I've searched the net, but nothing so far. It seems that the recipe would be a trade secret. :( But, I haven't given up. :stirthepot2:
