Polytech M14/s Scope Mount Threads

Does anyone know what the thread size is for the side screw mount on the M14/s? I does not seem to fit any standard sizes for Metric or Standard.

No way.
It'll be closer to a 6mm

P.M. Hical.ca. I bought a couple of scope-mount mounting-screws from them a while ago. Dave should know; good service, by the way.

Internet searching found it to be #12-32 Unef but I have not had time to verify for myself. Try Sadlak.com might be some useful info there

I was able to measure and it's a 5mm but looks like it was drilled then it was heat treated so it expanded. I drilled and re-tapped to 6mm and got a new screw.

I took my M305 into a gun smith a week ago. We (he) checked into it and confirmed the left side reciever thread to be 12-32 unified.
