Just got in, it was very foggy 200 yd visibility, with horror frost on all the plants. To our surprise there were a few out. Had to pass on some because we could not tell where the cattle were. My son & I ended up shooting about 40. Still lots of snow & wet areas.:)

Not your best gopher hunting day, I'm sure. But, I'll bet it beat a day at work!:D

Where were you shooting? (Roughly what part of the country. I'm not asking for your GPS coordinates - just wondering if it's warmer there than here. BTW, snowing in Edmonton as I write.)

Was that a Freudian slip with the frost, or deliberate? (Usually called 'hoar" frost, but I'm not above giving things funny pet names, either.)

Straight shooter; We just south of Camrose. 50 mi or so from edm. no snow just heavy fog.(yes I have a 2 wheel drive so it is always horror frost). We did have fun & I don't get to shoot with my grown kids often.

i saw a few gophers on top of the snow on the Lake Eden road today, right pasture just before the turn off to the sky diving club. FS

Hey guys.

I'm going to be moving to Edmonton in mid-May. Will there still be gopher hunting around then, and if so, would anyone be willing to show an Ontario-newb the ropes?
