Ardent said:I'm having my Jaded .50 rebarreled, looking for a heavier contour. Been browsing gas pipe. Hoping to get a faster twist as well, as the 1-0" twist rate on the standard model is a bit slow I find, and when I load a heavy/high BC marble on top of a propellant charge of 2 lady fingers I get poor groups at 5yards.
I stick with the RAP (Rocket Assisted Propulsion) rounds, they're non-AP, (anti-popcan) but they do make a bit of a crack. Bottlerockets work fine with the 0-0 factory twist barrel. Accuracy isn't so great no matter what type of load you use, but these give a pretty satisfying *SHOOSH* when you pop 'em off!
I've got a buddy who had a Jared50, and he was pushing the handload enveloppe, he was putting an M-150 behind a rubber golf-ball core. He had a couple of burst primers from that setup. I suggested using a shorter fuse to reduce the pressure, but he hasn't gotten back to me on that idea yet.

Due to this gross oversight, there was a tremendous mess made. I now have sticky pop residue over every wall, floor and cieling of my living room.
Not impressed!
Now THERE is a serious breach of safety....you were firing it inside your living room? Everyone knows that the only safe place to shoot these is out the back window at the neighbourhood cats! Get yourself together man! You endangered your whole family by doing that inside. BAH! I recommend a summary ban followed my beatings with wet noodles for silliness such as that.
