Careful with the acid bath. Look up Dezincification - that's what those coppery patches represent.

X2 the missing zinc will mean that under a microscope they will look like sponge toffee as only the copper remains.

i have some 45 acp getting it's 11th load , tumbled with walnut & mr clean not more than 2hrs , ea turn . never thought about the inside & won't worry about it now . also 32 s&w long 14 turns . no diff out of the ransom with either , compared to new/once fired.
