Is there a company out there in Canada that sells lightweight target stands? What do you guys use? Yes I know I could build one, but I am real handsome, not real handy so one that is ready to go is ideal. I have looked at a few including cabelas and some of our sponsers, but I can not find one. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't wait to use this line :D

LeBarons has a decent selection of portable target stands for different calibers. I made my own up out of some scrap would and a trip to the dollar store (I cant be bothered to spend ammo money on a target stand), but then again, I'm fairly handy and ugly as sin ;)

I don't use metal "reactive" target's myself. For something simple to stick into the ground and shoot at I use "lost" stick in signs that we see during elections. They are metal wire framed and use chloroplast board (plastic cardboard). Just remember to paint over names or any human picture that is on them. They are extremely light and can take 100's of rounds before the board is shot out.

Wholesale sports has ones like that. I have one, plus one with three small swinging steel circles of different sizes. Fits nicely under the truck seat.

I just use a chunk of scrap plywood, about 2' X 3', with two 2" X 2" legs screwed down along the sides. A third piece of scrap wood with a notch in one end props it up from the back side. Put a couple of nails sticking out of the top to hold the tin-cans and you're good to go.
Lays down flat, cost me a total of 5 minutes to Bubba together.

Large variety of signs and stands, some are pretty cost efficient.

I have a couple of these, ht tp://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/shooting/target-stands-jmts.html $24 at WSS ht tp://ca.wholesalesports.com/storefront/range-accessories/targets/the-jammit-target-stand/prod78010.html. I really like them and use them all the time. They are over 2 years old now and still work just fine.

I just ordered one of these a couple of weeks ago. Looks like it works well, and is hopefully durable. Shipping to Canada was only ~$14 too, which was a nice surprise.

Is there such a thing as having too many rimfire targets?
