MILSURPS:
OK, this is going to be a multi part report. The show sponsored by the Oregon Arms Collectors Association started on friday and is winding down as I write. There are about 180 tables choked full of all kinds of great guns...absolutely no flee market crap, just high quality guns. This is my third time at the show and it always amazes me what walks throught the doors. In way of Milsurps there are all kinds...for example;
-An M-1 Garand display with original as issued guns from 1941 through 1945...all about 95% condition.
-An incredible display of M1911 45 acp military pistols, including the Springfield Armory 1911, the Savage/Colt(Savage only produced slides and these were used with Colt frames to build pistols, an original North American Arms(made in quebec)one of 100 made, plus cutaway variants.
-The best was the original first model M1903 ramrod bayonet rifle with serial number 3X, made in the first day of production...the same display had an original.
-An Italian rifle display dating from 1870 to 1945.
-An M1903 rifle display.
-A Japanese firearms display.
-A 22 U.S. training rifle display.
-A Reising submachine gun display.
Absolutely incredible show so far.
Sorry, np pics as most guys are quite sensitive about this...and I don't blame them
