Anyone know where I can get some NATO spec portugese surplus 7.62x51(308) in Canada right now??

Some people have some left in their personal stores, but for the most part it's all shot up. So, good luck finding portugese for sale. South African is the new surplus surplus round. Have you tried it yet? Some have found it shoots better than port in their rifles. Of course, there are some that also find the opposite.

I have a DPMS LR308, the manual warns against PMP SA surplus as the claim the brass is soft and causes feeding and extraction issues..
 
I found a cache of the Port. milsurp (manufactured 1978) last weekend at a gun show in Burnaby BC. At the time I thought it was too expensive ($80/200 rnds) and only snagged a battle pack. Now I'm pissed that I didn't clean him out. It shoots real nice :) He'll be back again next month and if he's got more I'll snarf it up and send you some.
