What is a VLD
I'm horrible with acronyms.
VLD... is Very low drag. They have Hi BC's for their calibre.
A Berger 140gr. 6.5mm VLD has around .65 BC a Berger 180gr VLD in 7mm has around .7BC.
These are high for their calibres and give the highest remaining velocity for their calibres at 1000 yds. All the better to win with.
Now, I still don't know what "Burns Lake rules Facory" ammo is... anyone know?
It seems to me from the documentation given the "Factory Class is just a weight class( 10.5lbs) with a .75" muzzle spec. with a no wildcat cartridge provision. You could build a dedicated rifle with dedicated ammo and basically have a major league advantage.
This ain't no factory rifle. I wouldn't want to come up against it in any match.
Anyone shooting a box stock factory rifle with stock factory ammo would be fodder of the mill
