Just had my savage mark2 returned from savage. The bolt handle was quite loose and it could be rotated about 1/8". Fairly new rifle(500-1000 rounds ish) so I thought I'd call in to the warranty centre...
Left a message, next day I heard back from the nice (young sounding) woman. She told me to send it in, and where to send it, so I packed it up and went to the CP. About 3 weeks later I had a call saying it was repaired and on its way out with ups. Another week until I received the package... Opened it,(repackaged as new) saw they had replaced part of the bolt. Work order confirmed a new bolt body and firing pin/extractor were installed. No cost other than shipping on my end.
Pretty happy with the whole process all in all. First time dealing with any firearm related warranty.
Good to know these little rimfires can get some attention, If needed, right here in the great white north.
Thanks savage
