Possibility of importing the fort-28 pistol?

What's the interest in 5.7x28 anyway? I mean if you're in an organization that uses the P90, ok, you want the same caliber between your pistols and SMGs, so I get that. But as a hobby shooter, the ammo is going to be crazy expensive and I've seen nothing to suggest it's going to pattern any better than any mass produced round that will cost a fraction as much.

I realize this is a little off topic, but I'm curious as to motivation.

Probably no the only gun for most of us, so the motivation is just for fun.

Teapot, if you were to get these into Canada do you need to have RCMP assign them FRT number? How long would that take?

Yes, FRT number is needed. Usually quite fast.
