Possible M-14 Scout Mount?

I have long thought about putting a low red-dot or holo site on a scout mount for my M-14, but I have never got a round to it.

I noticed that jackyiscxd is selling this mount for $20.:

Anybody think this would fit the barrel and clear the op-rod?

i think a better alternative would be a rooster 33 forward mount as that set up looks like it wouldnt hold tight.

ya.....buster is right the rooster 33 mount is a popular choice that would hold alot better.

The Rooster mount looks very good but would probably set me back alot more cash. Anybody now how much?

I think the Rooster is $55 CDN, but double check.

not sure of the price,i don't think it would be too pricey though.i wish it had a longer rail though.

I seem to recall my rooster mount being around $60. It is a very good mount and is quite sturdy.

I think the rooster mount will cost about half as much as the ammo wasted on the above mount .
sometimes its cheaper to spend more .
