Possible scam

There was a time one could report these scum bags and the sub forum would allow warnings to others to be aware.
Since the new format I have not seen the sub forum.
So, have you tried to recall the emt or the e-transfer.
Do you have aname, address and phone number of the said member?
Called your local WestJet to book a cheap flight to visit and assist the guy in refunding your monies?
Called the police local to where the guy lives and filed a complaint?
What about the CFC and asked for some assistance ...if that is possible.
How about contacting the mods via the little triangle below where the thread appears to notify the mods and further direction ?
Lots of questions asked and little real information to pass along.

Phone number and email and name is all I have, 1k out, buddies account was banned, based off reviews looks like I'm not the only one, going to call bank now

It used to be a lot easier to check the feedback from/for a member here. To find out who was the scammer in this case I had to open the OP profile, view his feedback, find the button for all feedback and then find feedback left by him to figure out who was the bad guy. I have done this before without as much fiddling around but if a guy only has a few feedbacks it’s good to know who vouched for him. In this case he was a standup guy until 2022 and then a scamming douchebag. Sometimes old account get hacked and then the scamming commences.
I was the victim of a scam whereby the son of a member decided it would be easy money to use his dad’s account to sell the same rifle several times over and never ship it. Other members were able to identify the culprit and his father made good on all the monies although it took him a few paychecks to pay everyone back. I bet it was awkward at that house for a while.

With all the bad feedback I wouldn’t have tried dealing with him.
I dealt with him before he received the feedback last week, although he did have one from a couple years ago, should have followed my gut

Probably dealt before all the other left feedback.
But based on his 2022 feedback, I wouldn't have dealt with him.

Appears to be one of those "if it seems too good to be true" kinda deals with that many people bouncing on it. Same as OkayShooter above, I surely wouldn't have dealt with a no ship item guy. I know everyone likes to snipe a crazy deal, but do some homework next time. He had 5-6? deals, next to no presence on the board, and no location. Not a guy I'd send $1000-2000

The negative reviews would have and should have been enough.
funny I can not find the guy in any of my searches.
Nor am I savvy enough to locate the bad actors of CGN.
Has anyone else reported the bad actor using the forum to scam the unsuspecting ?

I checked by entering douches name in the search under members. He's banned already, but no real info to glean from any of his 20 or so posts.
Somone posted a link with rules apparently your not supposed to call out scammers unless you file a police report. I'll change it again.
