Hey all.

Gonna take the plunge and get into reloading for precision rifle. Single stage press and all.

I am trying to get a feel for how much room I am going to need. My gun room is small but might be usable. If not, I'll claim another room (over my wife's dead body, I'm sure......)

Please.................:needPics:

my bench in 5 feet long and full. i have a set of shevles above it that are 4 shelves 3 feet long. i keep my scale and powder measures on the bottom and bullets, books, tools and loaded ammo above. under i have 8 - 50 cal ammo cans with primers and more loaded ammo. and a rubber maid container with about 10-1 pounders of powder. my 5 pounders are on the shelves.

i started smaller, but had to add on as i got more involved.

i made this up.......its as portable as can be..put a small portable table beside it..and your on a roll..

Here is mine, set up next to the dining room table, press and powder disspencer are mounted on to an old end table.

Now that my spair/storage room is almost clear I'm thinking about setting up a bench in there in stead so I can have my dining room back, but then I am single and I've never used the dining room for dining.

I mounted my press on a 2x6 and attach it to a table with C clamps. Really you could attach it anywhere you wanted. All of my reloading components fit in a small, plastic 3 drawer unit with wheels. Very space saving but functional.

This is where I do most of my reloading. Its a little clustered right now.I also have two other presses, one of which is mounted in another corner of the basement.I use the other mostly for priming and crimping with Lee crimp dies.
Powder/primers are locked in a double walled fire cabinet(made for flammable liquids) in yet another corner of the basement.

I used to just have the press mounted to a board I could clamp down anywhere. Now, I have a small room to store the guns in. The room is approx 4ft wide by 10 ft long(deep?) . I put a bench in the back end of the room, which is about 2ft deep, and as wide as the room (4 ft). It's OK, but a little bigger would be nice. I need to keep it completely free of clutter to have enough space to reload, and sometimes that's a challenge. I have a shelf under the bench same dimensions as the top, and 3 shelves high on the walls to store all the components, so it's a decent setup.
