Post rut moose

While I sit patiently waiting for my moose hunt, most will have already gone and returned.
I am used to hunting during the first two weeks of open season(early October).
This year I will be heading out on the 7th of November. We will be hunting in WMU 21A Ontario(close to Manitouwadge).
This will be well after the rut and I would appreciate any advice/info that may increase our odds of a successful hunt. Our gang has a bull tag. Thx and good luck hunting.

In that area, except for weekends, you will have the bush to yourself. Thats the good part--plus you might also have some tracking snow--thats a high snow area. Bad part is you are in the November lull. The moose are there--they just won't move much and you will have to cover lots of ground to find one. I know several guys who prefer to hunt then.
I think a better choice would be the first week of December but the local boys get mad when I tell 416's that.
