Vintage 1965 Soviet 7.62x39. Bought off a friend yesterday for $200.

Good Day,
The wife and I were out antiquing in Feb in Alton, Illinois. I came across this Western (Winchester) ammo crate and was fascinated by the markings. It was for 7.92 (8mm) and I'm think the stencils Mandarin Chinese. I didn't buy the crate but the mystery intrigued me.

Best Always,
Michael

I bought a crate of 7.62 x 39 prc (Chinese) from tradex Canada. The crate is very plain , non of the cool markings that you guys have. So posting a pic would be pointless. What was weird was that the spam cans inside were covered in a white powder that was stuck to the cans. Salt maybe? Hopefully nothing toxic. the ammo inside is shiny and clean. Any thoughts?

Foot powder or some similar dessicant comes to mind.

And a couple more. Both Canadian.

First is a different kind of "ammo". 1943 dated.

Second is 1888 dated, and DC marked. There must have been a few of these found and "released" in the past couple years, as I've seen a couple now, posted.

Yes, I'm a sucker for Canadian crap.
