Hi all,

I read a comment the other day that said the guy expected pistol calibre carbines to be on a future ban list.

I'm looking to buy a .357 lever action.
If this potential ban is true, am I stl safe with a .357 lever and just need to make sure the barrel is more than 20"? What if the barrel is exactly 20"?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Don’t live in fear. Buy it and enjoy it. I’d rather buy something and have it banned than never having the experience of enjoying a gun. I’ll continue buying and enjoying what I can.
If the liberals stay in power all guns will eventually be banned. Once you have your first banned gun reality sets in, you stop caring and say screw you liberals.

Right now,buy what you want. Rest well assured the Liberals are coming after every civilian owned firearm......every one of them. In the meantime, enjoy what you can.

Get used to hearing rumor mills.

Pistol Caliber Carbines are already banned, or at least what were generally referred to as PCC’s. The Ruger PC9’s, the Aero Precision, the Just Right Carbine, the MPX, etc. Although there are levers and even pump action rifles/carbines that shoot what would be considered pistol caliber ammunition, they have never really been considered a PCC. The PCC term was/is generally reserved for mag-fed semi-autos. Let’s be honest, the Winchester 1873 came in 44-40 which was a handgun caliber as well.

For now, at least, you should be pretty safe with a lever action. They may get around to them eventually, as total disarmament seems to be their goal. Literally, banning every firearm, including bolt action and single shots, is the ultimate goal of Poly and other groups of their ilk, but levers and pumps seem to be a distant target for them right now. Buy it and enjoy it. There’s always hope that common sense might one day prevail - before they fulfill their agenda.

didn’t think there was any barrel length restriction on a lever? Mares leg barrel length is like 12 inches and they’re non restricted.
Overall length is probably more important
