Hey all, I'm just going to get started reloading, and I'm collecting supplies.
After much research I had planned on using Varget as it seems to be consistently a top choice, but no one seems to have it... so my question is what's the consensus on "the next best" that I might find in stock?
I'll be reloading:
.223 55g Hornady fmj for my AR
.223 69g Nosler custom compititions for my Savage 12
.308 155g Nosler custom compititions for my Rem 700

I thank you for your input!

IMR 4064 has worked well in my .308. I havent found dies for .223 yet so I cant say. 6mmbr.com has some good recipes too.

For .223 I have on occasion used RL10X, RL15, IMR3031, IMR4064, H4895, and W748, and of course, Varget. For lighter bullets, RL10X and H4895 have worked well. For the heavier stuff, W748 and Varget.

For .308, Varget and RL15 have been my 'go to' powders.

BL-C(2) is another option that should work well. It is close to W748 in performance.

W748

I like it because it is a ball powder and meters well. Accuracy is good with it also. been playing with H332 and I think H335 not sure on that last one. But my goto for .223 is the win 748.
