Powder coating 9mm Makarov

Here is some powder coated 9mm Makarov I processed for a friend. As you can see there is not much body for both lube and crimp, and the lubed bullets were being problematic during feeding. Hopefully this will help with the feeding problem. I used the shake and bake method with Princess auto blue, its not perfect but it should do.

They look good.. Should work.. Not familiar with the Makarov.. What hardness are you using? Sometimes that can be a issue..

That will be plenty hard enough. I am mixing 3 pounds pure to 1 wheel weight and coated a good coat. I have had them up to 1360-1380 fps out on my 9mm luger.

the 9 Mak is a prohib 12(6) in 9X18 case, projectile .365, about 95 gn lee mold. The problem wasn't feeding, but to find a way to lube and size. I tried some as-cast with lee alox, then oversized a sizing die to .364, but bullets are short and difficult to start straight. I loaded the sized PC bullets with 2.7 red dot, they stay in a 6" black at 25 yd, 2 hand supported, not bad for a full blowback pocket pistol.
