I am ready to try this method. One question - Does Princess Auto powder work ok? I am not about to pay Canada Post more in postage than a jar of powder costs, so Regina and/or Saskatoon is the one main option for PA. I have to go to Saskatoon tomorrow, so I can maybe hit Regina or 'toon. I will stop at WobbleMart and pick up a toaster oven and oven
thermometer.

I have been copying and pasting info and advice on PC'ing to a OneNote file, so I can study up and refer to it when necessary.

It works but there are other options with superior results. ht tps://emeraldcoatings.com/product/tool-blue/

Yes. Sounds like a lot of people are using this item for bullets. I will check out Princess Auto prices first. The shipping on 1 lb. will be more than the item itself, if I ordered it. Never know, I might do both!!

Thanks for the address.

Edit: Just checked the shipping cost to SK - $40.00 for a $14.65 item. I don't think that is going to happen.

I tried Princess Auto powder a couple of times with only marginal results. Emerald powders seemed so much easier that I didn't want to waste any spare voodoo to get them to work better. I could send you small samples for you to try, for a small cost. You would be surprised at how many bullets a small amount will cover. If you bought two pounds and paid a ridiculous price for shipping, it would still last you 10 years.

The rabbit hole is when you want to try different colors. Soon, you will have so much powder, your unborn descendants will have lots.

anothe source Kjohn is to stop at a few PC custom coater shops in your Toon travels, they will have oodles of color ends from custom jobs that will last you a lifetime. Most of the time you can get tham for the price of just carrying them out the door (saves the company the time of disposal. I was given a full i gal paint can of JD yellow this way one time....enough powder to do me 15 lifetimes alone.

That's a good one!

Well, PA is off the list. Powder coat powder is discontinued. There is one shop listed in Regina, which is closest to me. I'll call them and see if they can help me out. Got a $35 toaster oven at WobbleMart. Just need to find a tray with mesh to fit, some powder, and awaaaayyy I go.

Thanks to all the guys for tips and offers to send some powder. I'll try the guys in Regina.

I do okay with Princess Auto powder but Eastman is better.
Got a KMS near you? Not sure how they are for shipping.

Well well. I just happen to have a nephew, also a gunner, who lives in Abbotsford. There is a KMS Tools store right next to COSTCO. I'll get him to get me a jar and mail it. I gonna take a wild guess and say that the postage probably won't be $40.

Thank you for that idea!!!!!

I'm a day late and a dollar short for this post lol. I use the PA gloss black, and it works fine for me, not perfect, but even with less than perfect bullets there's no leading. The results in humid weather are not near as good as low humidity weather in the late fall though. This is all moot though seeing it's discontinued...

I bought my Eastwood Powdercoat from KMS tools in Kelowna. I have Signal Red and Ford Light Blue (which when mixed together make Ford Signal Purple) and a friend uses Medium Green also made by Eastwood with good results as well. I intend to pick up a 1/2 pound of Mirror Black on my next trip through Kelowna as it apparently works very well for coating cast bullets as well.

Boy oh boy. Things have changed. I bought 5 lbs long time ago and I don't remember what I paid but was not an arm and a leg like now. I went to check just for giggles and boy oh boy. From Ontario to Quebec 26$ shipping while 1 lb is 12$. In their dreams. That is highway robbery. I'm still scratching my head.

I would love to try some Emerald, but I do have a sort of inside track with my nephew living in Abbotsford. Also, he knows the owner of KMS Tools. I am simply not holding still for Emerald to hose me $20+ extra cost for shipping, compared to shipping from BC.
