Powder coating paint

i get my powder from Emerald Coatings is Palmerston, ON. Great pricing a vast collection. I really like the clear coat. Coats very well. I know tool blue is the go to but i like to mix white and black with a little blue. I find using a single colour doesn't always coat well. Mixing colours coats way better.
 
i've never done wet coating, by dry is pretty quick. I found heating up the bullets in a dehydrator or oven to the point of being a little hotter then warm allows the powder to coat better then on cold bullets. set them on a tray and into a convection toaster oven at 400 for 15-18 min. Your choice if you quench them or let them cool down naturally.
 
I've used Princess Auto's powder in two colour's and was unimpressed with them.
While some people have reported good luck with them, I didn't spend much effort on them since the Emerald products were much easier. I gave them away.

For me, the best places to acquire PC powder was local businesses that powder coat commercially, I walked in the door and asked if they had any left-over or color over-buys that they wanted to get rid of and I got anywhere from a 1/2 pound to a full paint can of powder handed to me to just walk out the door with... no charge!!
 
I think mine is Emerald, I use the clear and just shake coat it in a margarine tub, then cook it in a toaster oven at 250- 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
Pretty unscientific really! LOL
I have used the blue coated bullets that a friend gave me, but I can't get my head around shooting them in a Sharps action rifle with back powder!
The clear covers well and looks
